A range of scholarships and other types of financial support is available to support postgraduate research students commencing October 2006. Within the School, there are research degrees in the disciplines of AFRICAN STUDIES; AMERICAN AND CANADIAN STUDIES; ANCIENT, MEDIEVAL AND MODERN HISTORY; ARCHAEOLOGY; BYZANTINE, OTTOMAN AND MODERN GREEK STUDIES; CLASSICS; HISTORY OF ART AND THEOLOGY AND Religion.

On Wednesday 18 January 2006 at 2.30 pm Professor Shearer West, Head of the School of Historical Studies, will be talking about the preparation and submission of applications for Arts and Humanities Research Council Postgraduate Studentships. Applications for AHRC funding must be submitted to the School of Historical Studies by 1 March 2006. Applications for School scholarships must be submitted by 1 June 2006.
